Tennessee Drivers License Practice Tests

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security provides various practice tests to help people prepare for the written portion of their driver license exams.

The first practice test covers alcohol and how it affects a person’s ability to drive.  An example question is listed below.  You can take the practice test as many times as you like before you take the actual written exam.  You can find the alcohol practice questions here.
Practice1

The second practice test has questions about the traffic laws in Tennessee.  You can see one of the questions below.  All the questions are randomly selected from a batch of questions so each time you take the practice test it will be different.  This requires potential drivers to be well versed in the traffic rules before they can pass the written exam.  The practice test on laws is available here.
Practice2

The third practice test covers procedures and processes.  The questions tend to be about when to perform an action and the proper sequence for executing maneuvers.  You can expect to see questions like the one below.  The procedures practice test can be found here.
Practice3

The final practice test is all about signs.  Users will be shown a sign or symbol and will be asked what it means.  For example, you will need to be able to identify a school zone sign and what it means.  There are also questions on the shapes of signs like the one below.  The signs practice test is located here.
